Balance Professional Services Launches SharePoint Tool BatchPoint

(PRWEB) November 14, 2011

BPS has announced the launch of its BatchPoint SharePoint bulk file upload tool.

BatchPoint is a simple, easy to use tool that facilitates the importing and uploading in batch, large numbers of files and their associated metadata into SharePoint document and image libraries and folders.

Doug Kamp, director, Balance Professional Services, said, ?If one reviews the vision, goals, strategies and associated operational priorities of most companies, it is apparent that all are reliant on the ability to efficiently and securely create, store, retrieve, share and disseminate information and knowledge. Microsoft SharePoint is often at the top of the list of platforms that can assist in achieving these goals.?

?The issue is that companies often don?t have the time or ability to import the large amount of existing files into SharePoint and this can be a major cause of delayed or failed implementations. The task of achieving this becomes even more daunting when you consider common challenges such as multiple source and destination locations and owners of files and ensuring compliance and consistency of metadata during the import.?

BatchPoint simplifies the process by allowing those who are familiar with the source files to identify the file name, location, destination and related metadata properties in a simple format. Someone with SharePoint Admin access can then simply import all the documents into SharePoint using the BatchPoint tool.

?BatchPoint is aimed at users of Microsoft SharePoint who would like a file import tool that has the features of the more expensive products but not the associated price tag. Typically these sorts of products are only used on occasion, such as initial implementation or migration.? Doug Kamp said.

The premiere release of BatchPoint has the following features:

Easy to populate file for end users ? allow your users to capture information about files to assist with retrieval; your users are the best people to categorise your documents.
Supports multiple file types, multiple metadata property types and SharePoint check in/check out functionality ? BatchPoint will upload all file types accepted by SharePoint 2010 and will check in a file once it has been successfully uploaded.
Validation of your end users metadata ? BatchPoint will validate each content type, metadata value and document library entered into the upload file.
Generous licensing model ? there are no limits on the number or size of files imported.
Free upgrades ? BatchPoint customers enjoy free major and minor upgrades and technical support.

BatchPoint is available via download from http://www.batchpoint.com.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow: New York City?s LaserTouch Aesthetics Offers Unique Laser Hair Removal Services for Women & Men

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 26, 2011

According to Mike Sendogan, Clinical Director of LaserTouch Aesthetics, ?recent advancements in technology have made laser hair removal an accessible and convenient option for anyone frustrated by temporary hair removal options.? With nearly ten years of experience, LaserTouch Aesthetics helps New Yorkers go from stubble to smooth with advanced laser technology.

Laser Hair Removal for Men

According to Mike, ?for many years permanent hair removal treatments were considered a ?women only? type of service. We have seen a huge increase in male clients once they realized the benefits and convenience of laser hair removal.? Mike notes that men opt to have laser hair removal treatments on their chest and back. LaserTouch Aesthetics also services clientele who suffer from chronic and often painful ingrown facial hair.

Lastly, for completely bald or balding men who are tired of the daily maintenance a shaved head demands, Mike says permanent laser hair removal of bald spots or complete removal of hair on the head has increased in popularity. ?We have many clients who complain of their ?five o?clock shadow? showing up on their shaved head,? says Mike, ?guys who are bald want to reduce the amount of time they spend maintaining their look, and this is a perfect solution for them.?

Laser Hair Removal for Women

LaserTouch offers a wide range of treatments for women looking to permanently remove unwanted hair. Aside from common areas such as the bikini line, under arms and legs, LaserTouch is also skilled in facial hair removal, including the hairline and upper lip. LaserTouch carries a wide variety of laser devices which allows them to specialize in all skin types, including dark and tan complexions (which can be scarred through improper laser usage). Mike notes, ?women of all ages not only find laser hair removal convenient, it also creates a great feeling of confidence.?

How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?

Laser hair removal is a relatively painless process during which hair that is in its active growing phase is targeted and permanently removed. In most cases, hair is reduced by 85-90% after six treatments. LaserTouch?s laser equipment is top-of-the-line and FDA approved, making them extremely safe and effective. LaserTouch?s sophisticated lasers target the root of the hair to eliminate everything from dark, coarse hair to fine, light hair.

During treatment, the laser targets the darkness of the melanin pigment in the hair follicle. Hair follicles that are targeted will die and fall out in two to ten days following treatment. Most treatments are scheduled four to eight weeks apart, allowing for the hair growth cycle to begin again, allowing LaserTouch to target remaining hair follicles in the treated area. Most clients are recommended four to six treatments to achieve maximum results.

What is the Procedure Like?

The actual laser hair removal process is very simple: a hand-held applicator is placed on the area to be treated and a flash of light is emitted from the applicator every one-two seconds. The operator then continues to move the applicator over the entire area to be treated, flashing a new area every few seconds. The treatment session can take from 5 to 45 minutes, depending on the size of the area to be treated. The degree of discomfort experienced varies with each person, depending on your sensitivity. The sensation may be anything from painless to a tolerable sting.

Top CT Board-Certified Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Robert Langdon Appears on WTNH CT Style to Discuss Advanced Age-Defying Laser Services

Guilford, CT (PRWEB) April 26, 2011

Dr. Robert Langdon, Medical Director at The Langdon Center and noted author of Understanding Cosmetic Laser Surgery, stopped by WTNH?s popular broadcast television show, ?CT Style? on March 10th, 2011 to address how men and women can reduce both the pigment and texture issues that result from sun damage and aging. To address these problems, Dr. Langdon recommended his state-of-the-art cosmetic laser services, specifically BBL Photo Facials and SkinTyteTM Laser Skin Tightening.

?There are several causes of facial aging and sun damage is a major one because it affects the color of the skin as well as the texture.? says Dr. Langdon, ?Not everyone has the time or inclination to go through a surgical procedure; we can actually do quite a lot with these non-invasive laser treatments.?

For those who are bothered by facial spider veins, brown spots, age spots, rosacea and general redness, treatment with Broad Band Light (intense pulsed light), a laser-like device, can gently yet dramatically erase these blemishes, leaving the face and neck looking younger and more even toned.

Dr. Langdon also addressed the issue of skin laxity, wrinkles and other texture problems, advocating SkinTyteTM Laser Skin Tightening. Treatment with SkinTyteTM, an infrared light source, can tighten sagging or drooping skin that has resulted from sun exposure, gravity, fluctuations in weight or simply as a part of the aging process.

Both BBL Photo Facials and SkinTyteTM Laser Skin Tightening are quick in-office procedures at The Langdon Center, but provide Dr. Langdon?s clients with the dramatic, age-defying results that they seek - no incisions are necessary!

For a complimentary consultation or for more information on BBL Photo Facials, SkinTyteTM Laser Skin Tightening or any of the innovative cosmetic laser services offered at The Langdon Center, call (203) 453-8625.

Henninger Media Services Now Offers Hollywood-Quality Blu-ray Products

Arlington, VA (PRWEB) June 26, 2010

Henninger Media Services, Inc. (?HMS?) is the first production/post-production company in the Mid-Atlantic region to offer Hollywood-quality Blu-ray encoding services using the Cinema Craft High-Definition AVC encoder (?CC-HDe?). After thorough research, and over six months of testing and analysis, HMS? engineering and DVD/Blu-ray development teams drew an undisputed conclusion. ?After all of the technical scrutiny, it came down to a side-by-side picture comparison. The encoded media generated by the CC-HDe revealed a clearly superior picture quality above the other encoders assessed,? says HMS? Director of Engineering, Sam Crawford. ?The encoded material was virtually identical to the original, and the speed at which it worked was unmatched.?

Well-known titles such as Paramount?s Iron Man, Disney?s The Princess and the Frog and the Academy-award-winning Crazy Heart, have all been entrusted to this encoder for Blu-ray release. The encoder has even garnered several industry-recognized awards for ?excellence in video encoding.? ?It is the encoder of choice for many A-List titles, and adding this encoder to our Blu-ray offerings is a perfect fit with our company?s goal of providing world-class services in the Mid-Atlantic market,? says company President and CEO, Rob Henninger.

With over five times the storage capacity of DVDs, the Blu-ray format was created to store large amounts of data, and to enable recording, rewriting and playback of high-definition video. ?Incorporating this type of Blu-ray tool is a testament that we believe strongly in our clients? investment in their projects. We are really excited to be able to offer such a superior finishing product,? says Ari Zagnit, HMS? Senior DVD/Blu-ray Developer. HMS has upgraded its audio encoding capabilities as well. The DVD/Blu-ray department can manage stereo and 5.1 encoding?and now, 7.1 Dolby Digital and Dolby TrueHD encoding.

The CC-HDe offers a quality and number of tool sets that enable experienced compressionists like Zagnit to make changes to visuals down to the pixel, options not offered in other encoding solutions currently in the Washington, D.C. marketplace. HMS and Zagnit have already produced numerous Blu-ray titles for high profile companies in the D.C. market, and this list will continue to grow with this latest enhancement to HMS? Blu-ray equipment. When it comes to getting products replicated and onto retail shelves quickly, HMS is at an advantage by offering this pre-mastering service.

Headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, Henninger Media Services was founded in 1983 by Robert L. Henninger. The company serves broadcast, corporate, association and government clients, providing a full range of electronic media, interactive and high-definition services. It provides original script-to-screen production, and specializes in video editing, compositing, color correction, film transfer, quality control, and duplication; as well as surround sound audio, motion graphics, graphic design, Blu-ray and DVD production.
