Rheem Valley Shopping Center Provides Setting for Artists at 7th Annual Autumn Arts and Crafts Fair

Moraga, Calif. (PRWEB) September 19, 2005

The sidewalks of the Rheem Valley Shopping Center in Moraga will provide an intimate setting for 40 professional artists at the 7th Annual Autumn Arts and Crafts Fair. The weekend-long event will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, September 23 and 24, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 25 at the shopping center, located at the corner of Moraga Road and Rheem Valley Boulevard.

Sponsored by the Contra Costa Times, this free event will feature a stunning variety of artwork including prints of African inspired batik paintings, ceramic pieces, precious metal jewelry, garments, children?s toys and more. Patrons will be able to browse among the outdoor displays and meet artists who will be demonstrating their craft during the show.

This year?s highlighted artists include Shirley Robles of Danville who has been making ceramic sculptures for more than 12 years. Though her favorite subject matter is frogs she also has fountains and sun faces. All of her pieces are fired at a high temperature and ideal for the garden. Among her most popular pieces are frog princes and princesses complete with 22-carat gold crowns.

Born in Uganda, Paul Nzalamba was exposed to art at an early age as he watched his mother design and make baskets, floor mats, and room dividers. Paul learned the technique of batik painting from East Africa?s most respected masters. After receiving a college degree he traveled to Los Angeles to sell his batik paintings. His artwork at the show will be represented in prints and lithographs which reflect the color and vibrancy of his native Uganda as he portrays the simple village life with images of women walking to the well with pots on their head, villagers playing instruments, or children learning a lesson from their teacher.

Award-winning artists, Stephen Stark and Angela Fortain of Benicia will be showcasing their one-of-kind sculptures and hand-blown glass pieces. Steven has a bachelor's degree in metalsmithing from the California College of Arts and Crafts. The 13-year veteran creates sculptures in either bronze or steel using the lost wax process or sandcast to create whimsical pieces. Angela has been blowing glass for eight years. She will feature her colorful vases, bottles, paper weights and bowls in a variety of styles. ?We take great pride in creating high quality artwork that will last for generations,? Steven says.

Other artists in this year?s festival include Barbara Kee of Rocklin showcasing home décor, buttons and bowls; Lorna Ritter of Napa with her whimsical collection of hand-painted garments and accessories for women including: dresses, vests, jackets, pillows and more; Napa artist, Dennis Williams showing his wooden puzzles, toys, clocks, clothes racks, bug boxes, and money banks all aimed to challenge a child?s imagination.

Tenrox Cloud PSA 2011 R3 Provides Advanced Project-based Revenue Manager

Glendale, CA (PRWEB) December 05, 2011

Tenrox, the only true workflow-driven project and service delivery solution for today?s globally dispersed project workforce, announced the availability of a comprehensive revenue manager benefitting companies with the accurate calculation and reporting of revenue for data integrity, real-time global visibility and stronger compliant processes. 2011 R3 release also includes the Salesforce.com Quick Connect Technology integration allowing data to be easily mapped, shared and exchanged between Salesforce.com and Tenrox. 2011 R3 offers several other valuable updates such as ad-hoc chart reports and support for Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and 2010.

?Tenrox 2011 R3 has been focused around developing the most advanced cloud-based revenue management tool available. The module?s main purpose is to address the revenue recognition void within existing ERP and accounting programs whereby companies can only track invoiced actuals by using spreadsheets or other custom-developed software that isn't integrated with their core accounting and project management/professional services automation system. With Tenrox revenue manager, they can automate the revenue recognition process in the cloud with real-time dashboards and reporting for continual revenue recognition monitoring,? explained Rafat Hilal, Vice President of Research and Development, Tenrox.

?After reviewing several PSA solutions, we could not find one that fully met our revenue management requirements. We collaborated with Tenrox on the development of the Tenrox Revenue Manager module. We?re excited about implementing this tool since it addresses all our revenue management needs,? explained Brian Cohen, Contract Manager, RL Solutions.

New Features in Tenrox 2011 R3:

Revenue Manager

Tenrox Revenue Manager facilitates the work of controllers and project managers by removing the need for complex spreadsheets, error-prone journal entries and manual processes. Project managers will appreciate that they can now associate the appropriate WIP (work in progress) accounts for all their project billing including time, expenses and charges to bridge the gap between project management and financial reporting. Controllers will value its ability to obtain an accurate calculation and reporting of revenue including instant adjustments when project milestones and actuals are invoiced.

Recognition rules can be setup to manage different revenue types such as software subscription, maintenance contract, software and hardware product implementation, and milestone based projects.

Revenue Manager tracks invoicing and revenue recognition independently and automatically associates transactions to the proper deferred revenue or actual revenue accounts, based on the transaction type. It also provides financial managers with line-item visibility and detailed reports to support internal and regulatory compliance requirements as well as higher accuracy by ensuring the proper review, approval and execution of the revenue that is due to be recognized.

Salesforce.com Quick Connect Technology

With Tenrox?s Quick Connect Technology there are no limits to the types of data that can be mapped, sent to and retrieved from Salesforce.com. This new integration technology provides a complete, 360-degree, real-time view of project demand, resource capacity and utilization as well as project progress. It is convenient for forecasting and project demand management throughout the entire sales process.

Tenrox-Salesforce.com Quick Connect integration technology offers a number of notable new features and improvements such as a simplified, user controlled configuration process. This results in streamlined implementation, updates and upgrades (since no coding or alteration of the core framework is required) and allows users to easily tailor the Tenrox Salesforce.com connector to their specific needs.

The range of data that can be exchanged and dynamically mapped between Tenrox and Saleforce.com has been greatly expanded. In addition to KPIs, Salesforce.com queries can obtain data such as available resources, bookings, work types, tasks, project updates, billing information and expense details allowing data to be easily shared and exchanged between salesforce.com and Tenrox Cloud PSA.

Ad-hoc Chart Reports

The Tenrox Ad-hoc Reporting tool has been enhanced to offer real-time, drillable charts. Charts are now part of the application?s other display formats including: static reports, pivot tables and graphs. An Ad-hoc Charts option has been added to the ?Reporting? menu which offers several chart types such as: Area, Bar, Bubble, Column, Funnel, Line/Step line, Pie/Doughnut, Spline, and Stacked.

Data can be rolled up and consolidated into drillable executive dashboards and mash-ups, creating a comprehensive and powerful, central interface to automate and streamline management reporting. Charts can also be added to ?My Favorites? or as part of a dashboard.

Other updates:

?Tenrox now includes seamless and comprehensive SharePoint 2010 support for document management and workspace collaboration. Tenrox users can automatically access SharePoint documents or Web Parts from within the Tenrox application regardless of where their SharePoint site resides.

?Tenrox Dynamics GP (Great Plains) connector now fully supports Windows 64-bit workstations

Anniversary Event Provides Community Education About Cosmetic Procedures

Prescott, AZ (PRWEB) September 06, 2011

Body Oasis Laser Aesthetics staff and founder Dr. Robin Fleck celebrated six years at their Prescott location in August, welcoming local residents to enjoy live entertainment as well as learn about newly available alternatives to cosmetic surgery, such as the Active FX CO2 fractional laser treatment, new techniques for injecting dermal fillers for facial rejuvenation, and recent additions to the Botox market including Dysport and Xeomin.

Alumni of the Active FX laser resurfacing were on hand to answer questions from those interested in the procedure. ?It is gratifying to see our alumni participate in these events,? remarked Jan Gillum, office manager of Southwest Skin and Cancer Institute. ?We have before and after pictures to demonstrate the radical improvement they?ve experienced and they have their own story to tell.? The alumni shared details about the procedure and the recovery process. ?Showcasing our patients allows everyone to see the amazing results we are seeing with these new laser procedures while providing realistic expectations about the healing involved,? notes Deirdre Morris, administrative assistant for Southwest Skin and Cancer Institute.

The reception started with an informative lecture by Dr. Fleck outlining the cosmetic procedures offered at all three offices, followed by a live demonstration of a Dysport treatment on an audience volunteer. The live injection gave the audience the opportunity to see how painless and quick these procedures are as well as provided an opportunity to ask Dr. Fleck and the patient questions about the injections as they were taking place. ?I was surprised how fast the treatment was and that I had no bruising or pain afterward,? remarked Jane Raimondo, lucky recipient of the Dysport injections. ?I would recommend this to everyone.? Those that hadn?t experienced a Dysport treatment first hand were amazed at the different areas that could be addressed including frown lines, crow?s feet, upper lip wrinkles and sagging jowls. ?This is why we call it the ?lunchtime liquid face lift?,? stated Dr. Fleck. ?It takes less than a half hour, and we will give you back 5 years.?

Representatives from various medical and laser companies were also present at the event. Medicis, the company responsible for dermal fillers such as Perlane and Restylane, and laser representatives from Candela and Lumenis were on hand to explain how their products and treatments work. ?For the clients we see, this is the perfect event to get some solid information on treatments they may be considering, but don?t know enough about,.? noted Maureen Brogan, laser technician at Body Oasis medical spa. ?The importance of having these experienced reps at an event like this is so they can speak to the aesthetic consumer about their products and how they can work for clients? specific issues.?

After the lecture and demonstration, the guests were invited to tour the facility and take in the multitude of services offered, from varicose vein treatment to nonsurgical cosmetic rejuvenation.

At Body Oasis, guests were treated to free Visia computerized skin analysis to see the actual sun damage that can be accrued living in the Southwest. The Visia takes three photographs of your face and can demonstrate pore size, wrinkles, UV damage, oils in the skin, and overall skin tone when compared to peers the same age. A Visia skin analysis is used at Body Oasis as a starting tool to find out what a client?s problems and concerns are, and then a treatment plan is developed to address those specific issues.

Complimentary test spots with their state-of-the-art Light Sheer Duet permanent hair reduction laser was also provided to show how painless laser treatments have become. This laser is equipped with a larger handpiece that allows for treatment of an entire back in fifteen minutes.

Dr. Fleck hosted a slide show featuring information about the causes and treatment of varicose veins and spider veins. At Vein Specialties, Dr.Fleck provides the latest advances in laser treatment of varicose veins including endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) and sclerofoam injections. Potential clients learned that most insurance companies cover these procedures, which require no downtime. Patients can return to work the same day.

The reception was a platform not only to demonstrate the ease and affordability of the cosmetic and laser treatments administered at our offices, but also to educate the guests on the proper way to protect their skin against sun damage. Dr. Fleck also consulted patients about the harmful effects of using over the counter sunscreens and sun blocks. ?People gain a false sense of security when using sunscreens,? Dr. Fleck noted. ?They aren?t 100% protected from harmful UV-A radiation yet they tend to spend more time in the sun when using sunscreens. This leads to chronic conditions including rosacea, premature aging and skin cancer.?

The practice carries a fresh vitamin C serum that when used along with vitamin E lotion provides a full spectrum of coverage from UVA and UVB rays. ?People spend too much money on media hype and have difficulty sorting out fact from creative marketing,? said Maureen Brogan. ?That is why we educate our clients on proper skin care. We carry products that are fresh, affordable, and work. Antioxidant serums not only help protect against the sun, but can reverse early skin cancers, age spots, fine wrinkles, and skin laxity.?

If you were not able to participate in this event, call the helpful staff at either of these locations (928) 778-0808, and set up your free consultation today.
